We understand Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a significant concern for our community, nation and world at this time. Treasure Coast Eye Associates considers the health and safety of our community as a top priority.
To ensure the health of our patients, customers and staff members, we are implementing the following policies, procedures and guidelines:
OFFICE HOURS WILL RETURN TO NORMAL ON MAY 4, 2020 WITH SOME CHANGES
8:30-5:30 Monday thru Friday
--We will be seeing patients for both exams and eyeglass orders/repairs/adjustments by appointment only. All patients with appointments are asked to call or text us when you arrive. We will be asking a screening questionaire and checking your temperature prior to bringing you directly to an examination room or optical table.
--All patients will be required to wear a mask, bandana, or covering over their face during the entirety of their time in our office for the safety of everyone. If you come without a mask, one will be provided to you for $5.
--All employees will be screened for symptoms and have their temperature checked at the beginning of each workday, and all employees will be wearing a mask during your care.
--All patients and customers will be REQUIRED to use hand sanitizer or wash hands upon their arrival to our office. We are encouraging the same protocol before leaving our office.
--We are asking that you DO NOT wear gloves into our office. Gloves can spread the virus in the same way that unwashed hands can do so. Hand sanitizer or washing is the only way to guarantee cleanliness.
--If you (or someone close to you) have experienced any fever, cold, or flu-like symptoms, or shortness of breath within the last 2 weeks, please do not visit our office. Instead, call us to reschedule at a later date.
--Symptoms of the Coronavirus include: Dry Cough, Fever or Chills, Shortness of Breath or Difficulty Breathing, Muscle pain (aches) or Body Weakness, Fatigue, Nausea or Vomiting.
--If you or someone you have been in contact with has traveled out of the the Vero Beach area within the past 2 weeks, please call to reschedule your appointment for after that time period.
--Only the patient/customer will be allowed into the office. Exceptions will be allowed for a necessary caregiver or parent All others accompanying you should remain in their vehicle or return to pick you up after your appointment.
--Our cleaning and disinfecting protocols are extensive. All counters, surfaces, exam rooms, equipment, frame boards doorknobs and sinks are being disinfected between each patient. Please be patient as we complete this process before we bring you into the office.
--Treasure Coast Eye Associates will be waiving all late cancellation fees, no questions asked, for the foreseeable future.
--Treasure Coast Eye Associates reserves the right to ask anyone exhibiting symptoms to leave the office and reschedule the appointment, without penalty and at no cost to the patient.
--Please be patient if we appear short staffed as we are not allowing any employees to come to work if they feel ill until they have seen a doctor and are cleared.
--If you have an ocular emergency, but you have flu-like symptoms (or may have been exposed to Coronavirus) or have traveled recently, please call and alert us BEFORE visiting the office. Dr. Roselli or Dr. Robinson will contact you and discuss treatment options. We may be able to do a tele-consult using Skype, Facetime, or Zoom.
--We are following Center for Disease Control (CDC), Florida Department of Health and Indian River County guidelines and recommendations for healthcare facilities and small businesses.
